Theater photography, NYC
I am a NYC theater photographer covering Off-Broadway, downtown stages, cabaret rooms, and college and conservatory productions. The work runs from production stills and performance imagery to rehearsal and tech-day behind-the-scenes coverage, plus dedicated press calls when a show needs them.
How a theater shoot runs
Most projects book 1 to 2 hours during a held tech or final dress. I work in available stage light with silent shutter, no flash, and no audible distraction during the run. Press selection delivers within 48 hours; the full curated edit lands within a week with production, press, and social use included by default.
College and conservatory theater photography
Recurring partners include the Fordham theater program, the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and the Barnard College theater program, plus The Flea Theater and a list of indie companies whose work I keep coming back to. Conservatory shoots cover the full mainstage season alongside BFA portfolio frames and reel material the cast keeps after graduation.

FAQ
Theater shoots, in detail.
Do you shoot during a live performance?
Yes, when the production allows it. I work silently in available stage light and avoid flash, blocking, or audience distraction.
What is the best call for production stills?
A held tech, final dress, or dedicated press call usually gives the cleanest result. I can also cover a live run when that is the only workable option.
Can you deliver press images fast?
Yes. For shows with a press deadline, we can plan a fast first pull within 24 to 48 hours, then deliver the full curated gallery after.
Do you photograph college and conservatory productions?
Yes. I have worked with New York college, conservatory, and downtown theater productions, including staged work, rehearsal coverage, and portfolio frames for actors.
